Our function room is perfect for any event, big or small with capacity for 50 to 200 guests. We cater for weddings, parties, live band nights and more.

Our bar is available for all bookings and offers a wide variety of quality drinks at competitive prices including lagers, ales, spirits and soft drinks.

We can also provide food for your events, whether it is a cold or hot buffet, or something a bit more special, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Frequently Asked Questions

Room size and specifications

Our function room is perfect for any event, big or small. We cater for weddings, children's parties, live band nights and more. Large picture windows open up to a terrace running the length of the building.

 

Our function room is divided into 2 sections with a total capacity of 200, or 12 for table service or buffet.. There is a dedicated dancefloor and DJ area, with two fully licenced bars and entrance onto the terrace.

 

During the rugby offseason, with our agreement, you may arrange marquee receptions on our grounds through an approved external supplier. All marquee setups must include a minimum public liability insurance to meet venue requirements.

Each section contains a licensed bar, which can be open for your event. We offer a wide variety of quality drinks at competitive prices including lagers, ales, spirits and soft drinks.

 

Our kitchen is available to provide a range of food and snacks for your events, whether it is a hot or cold buffet, themed menu or something a bit more special. Get in touch, and we will see what we can do.

 

Example prices: cold buffet £5.50 per head, hot buffet £6.50 per head and mixed buffet £7.50 per head. We also o ffer a light cake buffet at £3.50 per person. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available at £1.50 per guest.

Corkage charge is £3 per bottle.

Special dietary requirements are catered for with advance notice.

Bar and kitchen
Access

Our function room is on the first floor up two flights of stairs. There is a lift from the ground floor and there are bathrooms available on the first floor.

Room hire costs

Our rates are based on cost per room and vary depending on the time of day.

  • Daytime hire is £25 per room per hour (9am - 5pm)

  • Evening hire is £50 per room per hour (5pm - 11pm)

  • Late hire is £75 per hour (after 11pm)

  • Room hire is free for wakes.

 

A non refundable deposit of £50 is payable when you confirm your booking, with the balance due 30 days before your event.

Function tables and decorations

We offer a choice of:

  • Round banqueting tables that seat 12 people each. They are 6 foot across.

  • Rectangular buffet tables are 6 foot long. 2.5 foot deep.

  • Tablecloth hire is available at £5 each.

You are welcome to decorate the space with your own decorations using Blu-Tac only. Your room hire will need to include ‘set up time’ and we ask that you remove all decorations and rubbish at the end of your event. Any damage to fixtures and fittings will need to be paid for.

Please note

As our function room divides into 2 sections it can be the case that other events are taking place at the same time as yours. The toilet facilities are shared across the entire venue.

 

Please note that our separate Members Bar remains open to the public at all times. While private events may be taking place in other areas of the venue, the members bar operates as it’s own entity and is not available for exclusive hire. As a sports and social club we often have live matches (football and rugby) on the screens in adjacent bars. If this could be an issue for your event, eg if you are booking a wake, please let us know and we will do what we can to accommodate you.
